ABSTRACTEmployee attitudes are imperative to management because they settle on the behavior of workers inthe organization. The frequently held judgment is that “A satisfied worker is a fruitful worker”. Asatisfied work force may generate agreeable feeling within the organization to perform well. Hencejob satisfaction and commitment has become a major topic for research studies. The specific problemaddressed in this study is to measure the impact of various determinants on job satisfaction andcommitment on performance. It considered which rewards (intrinsic and extrinsic) determine the jobsatisfaction of an employee and performance. It also considered influence of gender, age, educationand experience of employees on job performance. Data were collected through a field survey using aquestionnaire from teaching and non teaching staff of public and private Universities at D.I.Khan.Regression analysis revealed that there exists positive high correlation and positive significant impactof age, education experience, job satisfaction, affective commitment and organizational citizenship behavior on performance of employees
