The study was carried out to investigate an appraisal of success criteria for entrepreneurship business in Nigeria using Juli Supermarket, Lagos. To achieve this objective, three research questions and two research hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. The data was collected from primary sources. The primary data were collected with the help of a well-structured questionnaire of two sections administered to staff and management of Juli Supermarket Lagos. The collected data were analyzed with tables and simple percentages to analyze the research questions while Chi-square statistical tool was used to test research hypotheses. 1.1 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
The management school of entrepreneurship suggests that an entrepreneur is a person who organizes or manages a business undertaking, assuming the risk for the sake of profit (Webster, 1966). Within this perspective, it is believed that entrepreneurship can be developed through conscious learning.
