ABSTRACT
This research was to examine the effect of training and human capital development on staff performance with a particular reference to of Tasty and Spicy, Ado Ekiti. To achieve this objective, four research questions and two research hypotheses were formulated to guide this study. The data collected were analyzed using simple percentages and tables to analyze research questions and Chi-square statistical method was used in testing the research hypotheses. A structured questionnaire was used as the major instrument for data collection from the staff of Tasty and Spicy, Ado Ekiti. After the careful analysis of the data, the following findings were revealed that; there is a significant difference the effect of manpower training and development on employee performance and there is a significant difference between employees’ training and development and organizational performance. The concluded with some recommendations that top management must participate fully in formulating the corporate/strategy and should not delegate it to their subordinate.
