This project deals with the perimeter survey of Agricultural farm of the Department of Agricultural Engineering Technology, Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa state. This survey is part of the ongoing review of the Polytechnic Master plan. This parcel of land is within the Polytechnic land which is earmarked for demonstration/ commercial farming.. A perimeter survey was required to define and mark out the boundary with pillars. Total station traversing was adopted for data acquisition. The survey was tied to three existing government Controls (NSP 558T, NSP 559T and NSP 560T respectively). The project Order is a 3rd Order traversing (tertiary traverse) with expected accuracy within the range of 1 : 3000 – 10,000, but the accuracy obtained at the end of completion was 1 : 20,000. The perimeter of the farm land is approximately 2.124km (7points). A cadastral plan was prepared showing the boundary marked with pillars (property beacons).
