ABSTRACT
This study is concern with the influence of abuse and students academic achievement in economic in Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State. To carry out this research effectively three (3) research questions and three (3) hypothesis were formulated. The population of the study consist of two hundred (200) senior secondary students in Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State. And the major instrument for collection of data was “Child Abuse Questionnaire” (CAQ). The data collected were analyzed using independent T-test at 0.05 level of significance. The major findings of the study are: child labour significantly influences student’s academic achievement in Economic; multiple parental upbringing have significant influence of child care on student academic achievement in Economics. Base on finding of the study, it was recommended amongst other that government should enforce on the child right and ensure children of school going age are adequately protected from child abuse and labour.
