1.0 INTRODUCTION
Application packages are programs that are writing or design by specialized programmers or software developers in a standardized and generalized format to meet the demand of many users in solving application programs. Examples word processor, electronics spreadsheet, microsoft PowerPoint, database management software. Application packages it’s every thing except operating system. Windows, DOS, and other operating system exist only so you can run applications. The long definition of apps encompasses everything from over-the shoulder shooter games such as Quake to the most strailace accounting program. Increasingly, the distinction between operating systems and applications is blurring as windows, in particular, grows to encompass jobs that once were the purview of separate applications: faxing, file management, animation, videoconferencing, and most notoriously, browsing. But there are still applications whose power and scope exceed anything that could be packed into an operating system. In fact, if a job involves information, there’s software program out there that will handle it.
